Outdoor shower at 3rd mindfulness:-)

Hi dear 3rd Avenue kiters,

Not sure if this worth me mentioning but let me try to say it without sounding like a wise ass and get a beating from all of you guys the next time you see me:-)

As you've noticed we have a new improved area at third. We have restrooms and outdoor fresh water showers now! (cool)

If you are going to rinse your equipment please be mindful of the water consommation. We are having another severe drought year. If your equipment is caked in mud rinse it in the sea water at third then do a light rinse at the shower place. I have seen people standing there for extended period trying to "super" clean their gear at the rinsing area like you need that stuff to be perfect:-) while wasting so much of that water. I know it is reclaimed but I think they still need to process it.

Anyway without sounding like an ass..just be mindful. Keep the use short and simple.

Thanks for reading!

paul

Damn it... I was planning on taking an actual shower next time at the lower launch. Shampoo, soap, nails trimming and balls shaving.
I guess I'll have to simply rinse...

Yeah, I witnessed first hand people took long ass time to rinse their equipment at 3rd & Alameda. So retarded and indicated lack of awareness of their environment. Made me think of my neighbor watering his damm lawn while we 're having catastrophic drought.

Bring some herbal essences.

As with ALL rant threads on this forum, you are only going to reach 3.2% of the kiters. Best to preach there or hang a sign from the shower head so its right in everyone's face.

Good point though.

etxxz is correct.
Sorry for the rants. Making a sign that said "Please conserve water" and will bring it next trip

I'd love to see a sign like this at Alameda.
