I'm coming down from Seattle for the holiday and will be staying up in Marin on Tomales Bay. Looks like it could rip over the weekend so I'm trying to decide if should shlepp all my gear down, but I don't see a ton of info on the kite beaches page about kiting on Tomales.
I'm an intermediate rider and would love to find a semi-flat water spot if it exists. Worth bringing the gear down or should I stick to eating turkey and drinking beer this time around?
Thanks for any and all advice!

Re: Thanksgiving Weekend in Marin
Probally not worth it.
It is off season here.
Just frontal and clearing winds associated with a storm.
Comes up fast and shuts down fast too.
When you say tomales, I guess you mean dillon Beach for north west clearing winds.
And Doran Beach for frontal South east winds. Do not go out alone and watch the locals to see how they do it.
Do not make your own kite launch, if there is no one kiting there, the locals have a reason.
Tomales bay is great white sharks favorite surf break
