Has anyone foiled on the race and the freeride foils? Is it possible to just go straight to the race foils - when I know I'm doing this in order to race? I'm young and willing to take a beating to save $500 by not buying both foil types.
How does the MHL lift stack up against competition?
And last but not least, does anyone know why every dealer just dropped the price for a full setup to $2300 from $2500? My guess is that it's to stack up against the LF and Slingshot foils, my fear is that they're about to release the 2015 Lift which would suck if I bought the current version before the update.

If you plan on racing, check out the Spotz foil. I don't know how much MHL race foil has improved but they were not very good for racing. If you don't plan on racing, then check out the Liquid Force foil, very good on price.

And yes you can learn on a race foil. I didn't want to stump up for two either.
