Replacement Kite Bags?

Post by ddubwinokur » Fri Apr 19, 2013 6:03 pm

does anyone have a suggestion for replacement kite bags? My kites came in what are essentially trash bags with a cord on top. I'm talking about nice replacements, like backpacks with a place to put pump, maybe a small screwdriver, and some water. Ideas?

So far I've found...
- DaKine Compression bags : http://www.dakine.com/p/kite/kite-bags/ ... n-bagn-bag
- This Best bag: http://www.bestkiteboarding.com/Backpac ... k-Kite-bag

Any others? Cheap is good.

We have many different inexpensive kite bag options for you at KGB! $20-40
We have the best backpack and the best messenger kite bag with built in changing mat.
I have used bags as well, really inexpensive.
We are open all weekend or can ship for free.

I've been thinking of trying the Switch ones. The price is so low that there is really no down side.

Thanks for the help all. Royce, I may stop by your trailer next week and see what you have / how much it costs.

@col.kiteman: As I work for non-profit, I usually have to buy my gear used / old / not top of the line. So a lot of the kites I've gotten come in crappy or no bag. Examples include: F-One Volt, RRD Vision. We're talking one step up from a TJ's shopping bag here.

I hear it's a way for manufacturers to hit a lower price point. Frankly I'm glad they do it this way, I'd rather have my $$ go towards the kite than the bag. Although, man do I appreciate a well made bag, makes setup/takedown so much easier...

But messenger bags we can't carry on both shoulders if we compare to backpacks. Am I correct?
While Kitesurfing I use backpacks for security reasons to carry essential helping gears. I also do traveling a lot so I buy backpacks using Zipit coupons.
