Kiteboarding or Kitesurfing?

Do you call it Kiteboarding or Kitesurfing? Why?

kitesurfing. Because I don't consider "boarding" a verb (unless it's related to private school). And cuz it sounds cooler.

IMO you need cross / cross-off for proper surfing with a kite

kiteboarding if you use a twin tip.
kitesurfing if you use a surf board.

I heard that kiteboarding is the umbrella term for using a traction kite on various surfaces:

water - kitesurfing
snow - snowkiting
land - landboarding
sand - ?

All of these are kiteboarding. I don't know if I agree with that source, though.

I don't think you can call twintip flatwater riding kitesurfing. Just my $.02
