except for the urine/excrement smell, it was awesome. Started out with a windline several hundred yards away but three of us decided to rig. At 3 it just started to blow and suddenly there was wind. Left at 5 and people were still going out. That site is weirdo, like a switch was turned on. OP'd on my 10M. niceness.

I got there close to 4, it was crazy windy. Nicely powered up on my 9M, super high jumps, albeit inconsistent wind with lots of gusts. You must have left just before the switch was thrown again, because it went from super windy to nothin' in almost no time. 12M's were struggling and finally plopping in the water. By the time I left, I could've lit a match and held it while it burnt down to my fingers.

But it was fun while it lasted.

Saw the bandy winds from a mile away and stayed away... very bandy /gusty.. transitional winds. I predict the machine gun gusts next 2 weeks the a mellow thermal awesomeness. Glad it was safe and shallow for all today...We went to bezerkley!

What was Berkeley like? Before hitting the Toll Plaza, I checked out the Racetrack. Nada. I drove by Berkeley, didn't see any kites out, and it didn't look promising. This was around 3:40 pm.

The same we didn't get in the water not too safe for newbies and a really south offshore direction.

Pt Emery was super holey...dropped my kite during self-launch due to hole...waited for that to pass and headed out pointing as much possible. In between holes it would instantly ramp to 25+.

After getting becalmed and dropping kite twice more I gave up and headed in
