One other thing to note though is if it's just a storm front from the north--then it might just nuke everywhere (venturi mechanics aside)

Well, I have the day off Thursday, so ill check what the sensors are reading. Maybe il go check 3rd ave if it's nuking everywhere. If not, I'll just be a short drive away from Crissy.
Anyway, we are talking 4 days from now. Everything can still change.

And it's only my first season. I fear for my sanity. :mrgreen:WindMuch wrote:

It's official, on Channel 2 news this morning, Steve said Wednesday is "Windy" and Thursday is "Very Windy". Friday is "Breezy".

Would the marsh area by Doolittle drive near the airport work on NNE winds? Are there any restrictions there? Since that was an old dumping ground, maybe the water still has some bad stuff in it?

The lake is in the middle of a prairie and,in theory ,could work on any direction
but really north(clearing) & south(pre-frontal)are what to look for.
buckhorn launch on a south(onshore),and north (off-shore) but doable, staying in the shallows.
i'd try the south launch(by orland buttes,down county rd. 206),on a North...safer,side-shore.
and better N wind,i think
black buttes a cool spot with year round camping too.
been there perfectly powered on a 12M,and lit on a 6M,all on a north, never hit it on a south.
