Anyone kite at Folsom today? It was super North wind...

Thinking about heading up there for a session tomorrow (Thurs 12/1). Haven't ridden there before...

Anyone?

Folsom Point was nuking today. I was good on my 7m. Most were on 6-9m kites. Tomorrow is looking good, but a little lighter wind is forecasted, so I'm expecting 8-10m conditions. Come on out as it should be another great session. The water temp is also still nice (relatively speaking) at a comfy 57degrees.

Now that's the on-site report I was looking/hoping for!

I'll think of some other ways to welcome you to Folsom. :-k
In the meantime just make the trip out and bring all of your kites just in case. Also bring a small surfboard. I know you like to catch waves and there are some fun ones to slash at the Point. The rocky bottom creates a reef effect in some spots depending on the conditions (i.e. lake level, wind direction/strength, etc...).

Yes... Take the Folsom Exit. Go left onto Folsom. Turn right on Natoma St. Stay on Natoma/E. Natoma all the way to Briggs Ranch Dr. Turn left @ Briggs (into Folsom Point). Here's a good Folsom web link with a detailed map.

Today was EPIC again!!! Started on my 9m and was jumping to the moon. I ended up switching to my 7m (like yesterday). Many of us kited till sunset.

Good crowd today with a lot of new faces. There were kiters from all over... locals, Bay area & Chico kiters.

Wind is forecasted to be blowing till Saturday. It will be lighter, but still kite'able.

There might have been some good wave-sailing to be had up at Tahoe too today

Folsom Point should be on tomorrow from noon to sunset if the pattern holds. I'll be heading out there asap.

Hey Mark,

Since your post was sent at 12:04am, I assume you mean "tomorrow" to mean today (Wednesday)?

Yes... as in Wednesday (aka today). Looking like 7-9m conditions today. It should be epic. Plus the low lake levels should generate some good waves too.

I called it last week. I should have been on my 7m but I enjoyed being overpowered on my 9m. Tomorrow is setting up to be a repeat.
