Is there a beginner race for those of us that arent as race prepped as most? Looks like fun but I am not a seasoned racer and dont have nearly enough thigh to muscle 2 miles upwind without some serious crampage :(

I'd be interested in a beginner race / handicap :)

It was the first time I ever tried to race, and I had a great time. Yes, my thigh still hurts a bit....but the start line is huge, and pretty informal. This eliminates much of the drama of the other local races....

The spirit of the Sherman races is that you just get out there and do it and have fun. Any and all are welcome, you don't need to be an upwind king. If Chip's on the foilboard, you're done anyway as far as first place goes unless he screws it up somehow... Go for it!

Come on guys! It's all for one & one for all! And all in a good day's fun. I've never in my life raced; as noted above, it was just tons of fun. Come on out & join the mayhem. Whether you win the hubcab, make it only half way or cheer from the beach, it's all about having fun at the playground. :)
It ain't easy being greene.

thought for the next race. We could move the start of the race to the bottom of the third island, and those who finished in the top five start at the middle island. Chip gets to start at the beach again.

Don't forget guys there is NO RACE from us this saturday.
I believe WOW, kite adventures and Ollies race is sunday and were doing some clienic sat.

happy kiting
see you all at this weekends party
