Are there inflatable sliders that people are using?

Greg did you really get a slider OR a kicker? Because If so I'll do anything in my power to help you get it to where you want it if you let me hit it ;)
Well, I obviously need to have Alex sign his posts, or get him his own user name....Kevin is dead on - he knows us well...by the way, thanks for helping Alex study for his science test tomorrow...Aren't we all about adaptation?

It is true that Alex and I always fight about sliders. Since I deal with liabilty insurance, I see one side, while Alex has another from his skating and snowboarding. I do have an old windsurfing I would be glad to leave at rio. Maybe line the edges with pvc...Also, Greg, I am still trying to keep Alex's board together after he put a fat crease in the bottom last year while sliding a log at rio. Two layers of cloth helped it get through our La Ventana trip, but the crease has worked through those layers, so I have sanded it down again to throw some more cloth on it...

Good to see the locals at rio on Saturday...nice day on the water...

Bob,
I hope Alex got an "A" on his science exam!!!
As far as Alexs board goes, well I've got just the thing!! You keep fixn the old one and I'll give Alex the "Paint Ball" board to KILLL on the slider....
See if he can put some stick marks on that baby, I'm putt'n my money on the board,

L.M.G., that science test was pretty easy. I think I am going to have my usuall 3.5 GPA or higher. These good grades may result in a trip to Brazill  . I would also like to thank Kevin for helping me study.

Any way, I have a couple of possibilitys for a slider. One is that we could get my dad's old windsurfing board and drill pvc piping on to the back of it, and put it on the sand bank off the island. Or, for a kicker, we take a 2 foot plastic skating kicker and stuff it with styrofoam. Maybe anchor it. Well here is a couple of ideas that I hope we could take foward.

no problem at all on helping alex study, i actually figured out(through teaching organic chemistry), that i love teaching, especially things i spend my time with, so i hope he did well on his quiz. Good job on the GPA dude. keep up the good work.

But on the slider, I really want to get one out there so if you need any help bob or alex on building it, i'll do anything. I'm not very good with my hands, but i try , haha.

yep

Hmm....think about all the issues....

Brothers - as you recall from last year Slingshot experiment, making the slider is not the hard part. Maintaining it and dealing with disposing when things are broken is more of an issue. If you choose to build one/put it somwhere - take on the responsibility of maintenance and removal.

As you all know, the tides are quite powerful at the delta, and with this years snow melt, they will be a bit more juiced. Picking a good location will be a challenge....If you choose to put one out there, please don't place it in the tule jumping location. Not everyone wants to sacrifice that butter smooth water for a slider.

Yours truly "organic slider - waves, swells - lover", Z.

Z,
I was thinking a plastic cube built right on a trailer with 55g drums for floats/weights. That shouldnt be dangerous.....
Maybe place/anchore it near the lower island? What do you think,
L.M.G.
