That's so true :-) I am clue-less and I don't have a GoJoe

If anybody wants to look more professional and wants to get rid of their working gojoe please let me know, I am in the market for one.

I promised to loan my go-joe to a friend of mine so he can ditch his leash. I'll lend it to the next person once it becomes available again.

If you are trying to save some cash, you can use kid floaties and attach them to your board, not as good as the ones made by Ocean Rodeo, but they work. Here's a girl that did that, picture copied from a kiteforum user. If you are as hot as she is, then you can probably get away with what she did.

Here is another alternative, probably best to use during halloween,..., like today, .. if there is wind... again, pictures copied from kiteforum, apologies if I infringed on copyrights on my post here and the one above.

Actually, when you are riding strapless in bigger surf it can be helpful to have a leash. in this case the use of a leash is no different from surfing. Not going to load up the leash any more then you would when surfing. I still prefer no leash but not for safety reasons...

But in the way you are referring, it is totally different. Chances are if you see someone strapless in the surf with a leash, you are more likely to get in their way...

Sorry if I offended you, I was just trying to illustrate how you can be creative and funny at the same time. When I was first learning how to ride on my strapless shortboard in Alameda, I tend to get yanked out of my board 90% of the time, so I attached a balloon at the back so I can track it if I get too far away from it, now I don't use it since I don't lose the board as often and have become proficient in board starting on my strapless shortboard, I only lose the board now when I biff my turns.

Sorry, was just playing, I certainly was not offended. Thanks for your advice. :)

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM PST SUNDAY...

MODERATE SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 15 TO 25 KNOTS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
MUCH OF THE WEEKEND AS ANOTHER COLD FRONT SWINGS THROUGH THE
COASTAL WATERS LATE SATURDAY. WINDS WILL BECOME MORE WESTERLY ON
SUNDAY.

Is this good for Alameda? I would like to body drag if nothing else...

Body dragging in the pouring rain... sounds like fun  Go out kiting tomorrow at Alameda, it will probably cure you of your winter kite jones. Just make sure to stand on the beach for a while (don't forget your raingear!) and watch before you pump up.

Whoever dis the testing with teh crab grass last year has placed another 5 or 6 cages out there that are not well marked. they are more in front of grand st than down by the launch but if you find yourself walking upwind, in a south wind direction you may encounter these-THEY ARE SHARP!

Happy halloween, gimme some candy corn!
