What up with the big Waddell Windsurf contest?

[More Waves Please]

A few photos from Friday afternoon at Waddell. Small waves, but very solid wind, and some great riding. For those who don't know much about windsurfing, just think about what it takes to backloop a 9 ft board attached to a 14 ft tall mast off of a knee high wave. I think Bulldog was commenting about the commitment it takes to does a strapless 360 in the waves. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully committed to kiting these days for a variety of reasons, but I recently pulled out my old sailing gear for a day and basically got my ass kicked. Windsurfing is way more technical than kiting!
