Hello AdamT,
Your the "Scientist" and I do think your right about eliminating the rivets altogether?? but if you were to load up the harness with say a 250lbs man, wouldn't the stress to the textile load be to high...just a thought??

Re: Dakine Pyro Harness Design Flaw
Well got the new harness today.. And it is the new model Like the one in the link).. Just have to buy a knife and I'm ready to go
.... Although I wish they had sent me a small.. I am at the limits of this medium... Anyone drinking too much beer and eating too much cake lately want to trade??? :-" ....
Yuri,
Ya, that sort of makes sense having the strap go all the way around, but it might pull funny.. I think their attachment allows for a better distribution across the full harness...
Max,
uhm ... ya sure... E=MC^2+f(x)

Re: Dakine Pyro Harness Design Flaw
AdamT,
I have worn alot of harnesses over the last 20 yr's most of them designed by Dakine..they still have my vote to date...but after trying a "Mistic Firestarter Harness" this product has takin' the harness to the next level!! the harness is designed by a chiropractor and a mold expert both kiters!! I don't know what a mold expert does? but that harness stayed right where I put it?? I don't pull back rolls, or front rolls, but I did jump with it, and it has been around for two years!! I was told the harness cost alot more then other harnesses, but hell if it will stay where you put it.. and will stay together and not break apart for two years!!! I'll pay just to stay out of that nasty water fo sho.....OMax
