East Bay is ideal - it is near OAK airport and in the center of all bay kiting.

East Bay is cheaper but it might be tougher to kite everyday afterwork, not close to anywhere windy almost everyday.

Sonny,

There IS flat water in Alameda. Flatter than flat. Want to know where? That will cost you........a future kite repair discount.

Willie Stargell Field, baby - Encinal High School behind the Navy rock wall.

Fresh water??? I'm still searching for fresh water.....

It's too far for me to drive to Alameda when I'm so close to 3rd and I still follow my #1 windsurfing rule, never leave wind to find wind.

True, I like your motto.

And I doubt it would be possible to get your photo on Google Earth at 3rd Ave bikepath if you were kiting at Alameda. Did you see it yet?

Yes, I saw it, I went looking for it after you told me about it. I showed it to my wife and she thought it was cool.

Dude, your 29!
Move to the city- it's close to everything, (enough) and closest to the "most"...
West Coasters have it all, (sorry to offend any "Least-Coasters" out there)
Enjoy, Greg

spent 10 years in the city, and hanging at crissy....add access to waddell, as well as ocean beach, and life is good. Kiting is great at rio and 3rd, but when the sun goes down, being young and single is SF is hard to beat, albeit a bit pricey. Heck, SF was all over the national news for a recent court decision....I guess some guys like guys, which helps the ratio of women out at night at the triangle....Good times can be had...Plus, the music is better than anywhere else in the Bay Area...

Bob - you were able to, in 1 answer, combine kiting, location, politics, music and sex. Well done my friend. No wonder you are so much fun to hang around ;-)

So where you gonna be this weekend? Delta? or coast? I'm sure you know about the swell, yes?
