Not to be a pesemist but are we actually expecting wind at Alameda? Also , do we set the course so you have to start somewhat downwind of a buoy and go up and around and back down? I agree one can trek upwind twice as fast body dragging but there still has to be wind. Can we/should we put up some flyers? I think we should have to pay $10 to enter so at least the pot is big enough to pay for what we need to keep Alameda beach from sinking.

Perhaps in 2008?
An endurance body drag out to the anchor buoy?

What i picture being "fun" would be to have ski support. Ride upwind with our boards, then drop our board and body drag STRAIGHT down wind to a mark. The visual of 20 people falling into the water fully powered with kites looping all over is awesome. Can we, can we, huh huh huh?
