Re: My Favorite Christmast Present...
Well Switch just nailed that one for you Kirk lol
Below bar line detangle (for lots of downlooped transitions), independently accessible front lines (for self-land and low-wind relaunch), and pricepoint (2 bars for safety--run each 4 months per bar next season for the price of one). Interesting......

Re: My Favorite Christmast Present...
Kirk I've also been interested in the capabilities of their surf lineup as well.
The Method is marketed as the wave kite. From the looks of it should perform like a delta. Fast powered turns? Haven't tried riding one yet.
The Switch Element is set to release early this year which from design pictures looks like a C-kite with the balls cut off (open C with swept forward leading edge). I'd anticipate pivotal lower power turning, high depower and drift flight characteristics from it much like an RRD Religion, Cab Drifter, Ozone Reo, SS Open C-Kite etc.
Element is currently stamped as all-rounder much like the direction Naish took the Park in from a marketing perspective
I have a feeling I know what a Method will feel like for waves--but I'd really like to see how the Element flies. If Switch is out there somewhere I'd like to know if there is any update on release date for Element, still January and is there a date announced yet?

Re: My Favorite Christmast Present...
Has anyone out there combined the Switch bar with an RRD kite? my obsession still has some good miles left in it but the bar is about done. i'm thinking about getting a Switch bar because the replacement cost is near half and i like the setup.
my only concern is that it looks like the quick-release travel is shorter than the RRD design. (bar doesn't go as far up the center lines) I'm wondering if that will stop the kite from safely de-powering post QR. anyone with hands-on experience with this combo?

I've used the switch components to rebuild a couple bars I have. They are decent components. You probably dont need a complete bar; you may be able to get away with replacing the chicken loop and depower line?
