Yeah, I'm getting that feeling. I see the central valley isn't really that hot right now. Strange, because the desert was plenty hot as I was making my way out here.

I've got to do Napa stuff with the wife and friends this weekend, but I should be able to ride next week as well.

Its not the worst idea to have a leash with you... meaning as a spare leash, not hooked up to to your board. Ride with two kite leashes, then if you break down you can hook one up to your board for the swim. Its also comes in handy because you cannot break (2) leashes when throwing F16's in the butter behind the southtower..... (JOKING).

Or wait--maybe he could keep the board leash in his car and then be ready for Crissy again, and when Crissy wasn't looking throw it on his board?

When Crissy wasn't looking!!! Crissy is always looking, nice try though.....

2 kite leashes for an emergency is a good idea.

my main point was that if you are not confident body dragging to your board then maybe you should stick to easier spots. Board leashes are for beginners and crissy is not. The weekend idiot factor has been very high lately.

that's all

Rode Crissy today and you locals are awesome. I took the time to talk with Jeff, Andrew, and a few other guys before I rode, not to mention read the info posted by the shower. That's a serious spot and I'm really glad I spent to the time getting acquainted and learning about the hazards before riding.

That was a mind-numbingly awesome experience but I could see how it could turn bad really quick. Too bad my gopro fogged up instantly...

Anyways, thanks again guys for helping me have a safe and unforgettable ride out there. Don't take this place for granted, and let me know when you head on down to texas.

Here's a video of us riding lake pflugerville just outside of austin (I'm yellow helmet guy and cut the video):

Wind is super gusty and shifty there, but you can show off right next to the girls on the pier ;)

I just saw your video on YouTube of racing at Crissy back in 2009; that's an amazing shot from your kite. I'm hoping to get a GoPro and would love to eventually get it set up like that. Nice racing too
