Is this really true or is it BS?

We're all preaching to the choir here. The shop owners, reps and the city/park should work together to promote the sport.
We are all bitching about this issue and we never hear the other side.
Another idea would be is that all team riders should make themselves known here in this board so anyone that's interested in trying out their product should just PM them.
Maybe have a local rider directory on this site.

Questions:
1) Kite Wind Surf need to ask either Board Sports School or Parks and Recreations official permission to do a brand demo? That might make sense because of possible liabilities?
2) Since no sale has been conducted at the demo site, this is more of a marketing pitch people trying out new kites, Kite Wind Surf has the right to do the demos because it is a public park, and what they did was totally legit? Board Sports School is mad because they have to pay the concession fees?
3) Can we get official comments from Board Sports School (Rebecca and Jane) about this incident?
4) Can we get official comments from Kite Wind Surf (Jeff) about this incident?
(Edit: probably the most important question)
5) Can we get Alameda Parks and Recreation get their comments and official take to all this mess? What are the rules for independent brands to be able to do their demos and be left in peace?

Ya, I know, i know, we are having a lunch party at work right now, and this thread is on our wide screen projector, my surfer friends here are kinda amused with what's going on .... turning it off now, lunch and beer fest over .... going back to work in my office slightly buzzed, waiting to sober up so I can drive back up to Alameda for a mellow session today....

How is the Europe trip so far?
All I can say with all this mess for now is these guys need to start playing nice with each other no matter who made the first mistake. They have to get along.
I'm in the market this year for a full quiver, probably towards the end of summer, 5 new kites, a twin tip, and a surfboard.
With all this bickering that has been ongoing for years now, I guarantee I will not buy from these two shops until they resolve their differences.
