Greg, if you were here right now you would wish you were where you are. It is about to snow out here! Rainy, and freeking ice cold. I cant even get my fingers in the welding gloves cause they are so stiff. So I sit here in front of my screen and my propane heater doing "office" stuff. Maybe Sierra will get some this weekend.

Sorry to hear your not getting more stoke!..
Today was sick, yesterday was AWESOME 8m tell dark.
I was busting strapelss airs wave to wave, grabed and ungrabed multipals on single waves (Small to mid height faces).
Today was supposed to be 20-30 (kts) but only went 15-20ish, swell wasent what it was supposed to be either. I didnt have enough power to charge out to NoName so I didint see the size potential (inside was anckle snappers to waist high), outside was forcast to 15' (probable didnt even hit 10')
Tomarrow I'm going to Pete'Pub for another round. THe launch is super sketch but the waves can get very grindy (and long/large). I'll try to get someone to video if I can. Late its forcast 20-30 SW (perfect spankers for a goofy) .
Limm out

That rain you guys are getting is staying right where it is for the rest of the weekend. Closed low moving very slowly down the coast, not inland at all so NO SNOW FOR TAHOE

This is the worst January I can remember:

No rain = workworkwork for me
No snow = no skiing for me
No storms = no kiting for me
Friggin' cold = no sleep for me (up every morning at 4 to water the oranges)

Dryest in California recorded history!

All we can hope for is for El Nino to unleash its vengeance in February and March with nukin' storm winds and dumpin' snow (in the Sierra, where it belongs, please).

Paul,
Do you think your Orange trees/bushes are going to make it??
I'm also really bummed to hear it's been such a bust this winter for the rest of Cali (and its crops!).
We have north/east coast friends telling us that there lakes are just now freezing over/ no snow on the ground etc.. My Mom said the other day that her foutain was frozen, she's in So'Cal..
Perhaps at least the surfing will be good come spring...
Take care,
Greg
