BayAreaKite wrote:Chip and I hit OB today and it was pretty gnarly. Getting outside was pretty much out and not advisable. Big waves breaking all the way into shore with gusty, strong winds. It was a challenge and qualified for using extreme care. We did a downwinder from Sloat to Beach Chalet and Channel 2 News was there to meet us when we were done. Check out on Channel 2 news at 5, 6, and I think 10pm...

That is absolutely insane! You guys are nutz man. It actually looks really funny as you're surrounded by all the white water. Damn, Yeah... I think I'll sit that one out.

Ps. Sportin' the Ultra Nectar. Sweet!

You should have seen Stinson on Saturday... Looked about like that, plus pooring rain... makes you focus on staying alive, no tricks. Getting outside is hairy. Pretty amazing to crest a forming wave heading outbound, next thing you know, you're 10+ feet in the air just because the wave passed... Surf those? Hmmm. The gusty winds certainly don't help. Outrun them if you can...
