You mean...if a kiter does a loop in the forest and no one sees it, did it really happen?

I am all for that idea, Ollie. I know how it feels when you work so hard to dial something and you just GOTTA have someone see it!! Great Idea!

I'm gonna second Dewey's idea about using Ho Chi Minh as a natural "amphitheater". The trail doesn't need to be good enough to walk a kite down, just good enough for pedestrians. And the beach doesn't have to be cleared like it would if you were going to launch there (as we thought about last year). There's plenty of driftwood there to sit on.

It's actually a better spot to throw down because the beach doesn't curve as much so spectators can be that much closer to the action. Plus, no one is going to launch there.

Or how about just having a couple of the LF "Party Islands" on hand at the beach? Float them out around the islands and watch everyone riding make a beeline for them.

You can put a dry erase board at the entrance to the lot saying who's "performing" at the trail today.

Today at Ho Chi Minh trail----a.k.a. "look at me" trail."

Good luck getting people to not ride because some other people want go do a hooked in kiteloop or whatever to show off for others at an expression session. Ride for yourself not to show off, the consequences will eventually be paid if you keep throwin down inside the buoys. An expression session is not going to prevent people from doing this. Telling people kindly what is up might be a better solution.
