hey look, I came on here for support with my std, you may not have one but it is hard to be one of the first kids on the block with one. And regardless of size or color or if I am happy with it or not, it is mine and I have to learn to use what I got! so thanks for giving me my std andy! last time I swap kites with you.

Oh yeah, seriously. the kite flies fine, I didnt bring my wetsuit or board so I just toyes with it on land. I cant really comment yet without taking it to the water and having the lines set up such that i know i am fully powered. I first tried hooking the rear lines to the end pigtail and then ended up taking a link out and hooking up to the top pigatil. if it is true that the kite loses power when over-sheeted then I wasnt there yet. then again i did notice it chocked the kite more easily when steering. So maybe it was over sheeted. i had a hard time telling sitting in place. Will get back to you. Also I am awaiting Slingshots answer to this problem. one thing is for sure-one pump rules.andyandmarlys wrote:I saw you playing on the beach today... It's not purple, but the black and burgandy is good looking.... Anyhow, now that you have more time one it, what did you like about it? Is it just the bar, or the kite? Also.. if you don't like that long thow... you might want to limit the throw like I did...
Man I love STD's.... I hope to get more soon
Did you see LMG had his shockwave? First bowkite that sucks down to the sand when it sits down. nothing big but i have never seen any of the bows do that. they all want to lift up in the LE area without sanding them down. he said it had a lot of bar presure also.

I park at the Mavericks parking lot at the west end of the breakwater protected area and launch at the closest beach (inside the breakwater). I have noticed the other end getting popular ... the east end, where you park in the jetty surfing area parking ... but I have not lauched there yet.
ps, I am going there right now (as sensor says 12 s)
