I agree with Sander.

Bring the kites to Alameda, and test them out against the low wind guru kiters.

We have a growing expertise on the matter. A few have mastered the art of staying upwind when the ikitesurf meter reads 8mph...

Thanks for asking, Charlie. I still have a little bit of hair :? but am no wiser or better looking, that's for sure.

Looks like the votes are weighing in for Alameda. I have no problem with this, assuming I can remember how to find it (I used to live there, it shouldn't be too hard).

Who's keeping track of the weather? I'm up in Bodega Bay Friday and Saturday, if there's wind, trekkers North could get a preview. Call my cell if you are into it (541-380-0083).

Leo, I also lately hit the sub 8knot range with my 16 and the plywood board. Will you be in Alameda with your family?

Come to 3rd ave

I predict...
Best chance of actually sailing a Rapture 2 on Sunday will be on the ebb tide at 3rd Ave. Or in the huge ebb at Crissy (hope the wind doesn't die).

Come to 3rd - there have never been any Windwing demos at 3rd and there are lots of kiters there. The crowd at 3rd is curious and they need some education.

Also, I see in another thread that the Alameda crowd got a Rapture 2 to play with.

just think n of that stink n muD turnes me way off of low tied at 3rd
i had good stedy wind at berkely today, with no muD issues!
we did not put up the 12m rapture2 today to light for that! (we did take a look at her)
(the 16.5m rapture2 would have been better call)
and alameda does what it did today on a nw,er
might hit about 8mph or so

i think your right knyfe
you might get the best wind for today, plus you got more room and kiters down there,
i might enjoy a little 3rd ave MuDD! as long as i get to play.
what time do you think would be good? say 2ish? gonna get dark around 5.30
