Get an Ozone Edge. Last years are going really cheap from the racer who are switching to foils. You'll get huge depower for foiling and lots of drift. Don't worry about it being a "race" kite.

Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 7M
I love my strutless clouds in all sizes 7-9-12. And riders who transitioned to foils loves them, huge depower (stock bar do not even have depower strap for that reason, not needed), stays up in no wind and drifts awesome. But they are a bit different in handling, e.g. about 6 inch from full power to full depower.

Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 7M
I'm 250lbs and never folded wingtips on either my 8m or 6m. I ride pretty aggressively so I would be surprised if it is something you are doing on the water.
I would recommend pumping it up harder. Also, if it is a 2015 kite, rig it on the center knot or the knot furthest away from the kite. Center knot will slightly oversheet when the bar is pulled in all the way and the furthest knot will not oversheet at all. I would never take a stock switchblade out of the bag and use the know closest to the kite. That will likely oversheet the kite a lot.

Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 7M
I have a bunch of experience with Cabrinha Kites from 14M to the 7M and the kite was depowered when I was having issues with it. About the only additional tuning changes I could have made was moving rear lines to the forward position and pumping it up harder.
IMO, don't have much confidence that it can handle big conditions with me (a big guy) and its already gone. My other Switchblades will be gone by the end of the month.
