Jack was upfront on his post indicating the map was his version of the world. I don't think he was quite as upfront regarding his posting of the sign. I believe the sign does NOT include the last two items listed...at least the sign at the entrance to the lower parking lot does NOT include the last two items

So, jwest21...that's why you were not aware of a launching/landing guide line...I am not sure that it even exists

checked out the signs today at 3rd. interesting, they are not the same. The sign at the entrance to the parking lot at 3rd does not have the last two items that are on Jack's post. The sign at the West end of the path just before you get to the upper launch; if you are walking up from the parking lot is different from the one at the parking lot. It has the second to last item but not the last item regarding the trash.

If one only parks in the Mariner's Island parking lot they would never see the sign at the West end of the path before it turns East. Also interesting is that I thought both signs were created at the same time...I was part of the large # of riders that contributed to it's content and don't remember any discussion at that time about the signs having different content.
