I was at Sherman yesterday and I might be going back Friday if forecast holds and I can find the time in the morning. PM me if you're thinking about going Friday morning and need somebody to show you the place around. SS$$
Week days can be quiet. Good thing I know how to self launch and self land there because nobody was around in the am!

Our meteorologists with iKitesurf are worth every dollar of the subscription with their human forecasts. Saving $ on gas from getting skunked a few times covers the cost, not to mention the many great sessions I've had when the computer forecast was dubious but they predicted kitable conditions. The members-only wind sensors are also invaluable.
They're calling for Waddell to be mid teens Thurs. afternoon and questionable Fri., but better this weekend.

dwaynej, how was sherman? i read that when there is any South wind that the sensors at Ikitesurf aren't accurate and a lot of kiters end up on the rocks.

Last minute decision to divert to Benicia! I have a friend there and it was a opportunity to catch up... Called ahead to Chris at the Benicia store and Chris provided outstanding support while we were there.... 28 miles on the water on my 14M/12M and at the end of the day, could have done more on a 9M but I was finished. Farmers market in Benicia Thursday evening and Chris provided great recommendations for dinner and cupcakes.

Just an awesome day for everyone! 12th St is a tight launch and landing ;)

I am a subscriber to ikitesurf but local knowledge is needed to interpret the data... Plenty of incredible kite spots not covered by ikitesurf ;)

Hit Da Sherman this weekend for the most wind, tide will flood till 6 PM and then the ebb will give you a great sunset session. Bring beer's for the local crew after and make friends, also you can camp there. Waddell has a lot of sharks so be aware !
Another trip around the sun ?

Sherman was awesome! Went upwind and played/practiced for a good hour+.

After launching at 12th St and Sherman, I had no idea how good the Socal beach launches are.

I was suitably impressed with the one kiter setting up their Slingshot Compstick bar after launching their kite... I plan to use the same technique.

Thanks Ed for the site tips, and thanks all for the launch/landing!

Dwayne
