got to meet with intentions to buy.
Then drop the bomb once you verify they are your kites. If you call or meet a cop. They will give you a hand by hanging around the parking lot and step in when the discussion starts after a signal or something. You don't want to get stabbed or shot.

Meeting MUST happen. Nobody else call. Mitch, you gotta take care of business. say your new to kiting that you heard good things about those kites. Don't know more than him, and ask to meet in good time, if you rush it, if you're a dick, if you ask him too much and he doesnt know about kites, he will flee.

The best situation, you get your kites back, he'll probably get arrested if you want. Spend a few hours in Jail and he'll never steal a kite ever again. The worse, you never see your kites.

what a punk..! good luck

Well said..but I might add...I would have the cops swarm-in as soon as your sure that the kites are yours or you know the guy is not a kiter...not worth getting a gun pulled on you and being held hostage or something like that .. let the pro's do what they do best and that is why you pay taxes.. if your local police will not help you ..call us. Max or Pam.. (510)814-1074 we will get you the help you need.. Pam And I have both worked with law enforcement and know how to get the bad guys..There is a right way and a wrong way with everything.

Max be with you " " don't be a hero bro...just not worth it !!!

I've heard of a scenario like this before. The cops are fairly reluctant to get involved. Here is how the other guy felt with it. He met with the guy with his stolen kites in a public lot. Pumped up all the kites "to check them out". Meanwhile his wife called the cops and said her husband was meeting with someone that stole his stuff and she feared for his safety. The cops showed up and that was that. I think the feared for his safety thing is what got them there. That being said, a switchblade quiver isn't all that uncommon, but I hope you get your gear back.

Call the guy, ask some stupid questions and go pick them up with a few friends.

Done deal.
