Keep all phone numbers and account numbers: credit cards, insurance policy - in an accessible location.
i.e., not in your wallet that is in the (stolen) truck.
Z,
I live out of my truck, too, which is another reason I emphathize so much. Lucky for me I live in the sticks, although I did have someone take $3000 worth of chainsaws out of my shop while I was sleeping 100 feet away.
So does your homeowner's insurance cover the stuff, or (sounds like) was it exempt?

Dude, at least the karma police will make whoever stole your truck pay! That does tottally suck though because I know your stuff is pretty new. It is best to keep an eye out for them selling on e-bay or ikitesurf. Also put a post out on kiteforum.com just to spread the word in case they are headed out of state. I had my car broken into a few years back in the city. They stole my wetsuit but did not make it to the kites because I think I walked up on them. Keep on the positive side too. The police may end up recovering the truck with kites intact!
