[Sherman North Rebel Kite 2012 Lost & Retrieved] Thanks !

A big Thanks to THE Man that helped me today to retrieve my North Rebel that was long gone
and lost in the middle of the river today at Sherman [20knots]. I do not know how you managed buddy, but bringing my kite back to shore while riding your own, was pretty impressive really.

I was swimming back to shore so I Would be very happy to hear how you managed :-)

I could get it later on in the high grass after a good swim and some help, including Johan and his boat (if I am not mistaking his name :-)) but that's a lot of memories saved more than just a kite...

: The first reason all this started is that I have a 2012 North 5th Element bar with the original IronHeart chickenloop/safety that auto-release on big water impacts. Reason is: the 2x elastics keeping the ironheart in position get longer overtime, making the all system easier to trigger... Please check your ironhearts on your North bar if it has aged, easy to see: it moves too much...and requires less push-pressure to trigger. Be SAFE !

Curious why you weren't able to reattach the safety in the water and relaunch. Did the safety on your leash pop as well?

The Safety was not properly secured . My fault > too eager to go kiting I did not checked. It was a PKS mini-leash... but they also pop out pretty often. Changed it since then :-)
