I talked to the people at surfrider, and I can get us some bags, tools (those grabber sticks), and gloves. Do we want to piggyback on Surfrider (i.e. mention on their website or do an email blurb) to try and get other people out there cleaning? When we do beach clean-ups at Ocean Beach, we get more people in the community vs surfers to come out and clean. Lotsa high-schoolers and community groups show up. Do we want the same since non-kiters use the beach too? Or just keep it within the kiting community?

Grabbers are nice for little stuff, paper etc.. small bits of glass need fingers. Perhaps you could get Surfrider to loan us some for the day with some kind of deposit?
I plan on bringing my own grabbers so I wont be bent over the whole time. Frankly I dont really care about the food issues either, if you guys want to do that, party on!
My goal is simple, work then PLAY!
