Wazzzz Up in San Diego

Post by Proparoo » Tue Nov 14, 2006 2:52 pm

Going to SD for the week before Turkey Day, we will be camping right on the beach @ Silver Strand....

I have talked to one guy from So Cal and I know there are lots of kiters down South, but any of you got any tips for me?

I will be bringing my 16m & 11m (that's all I got) and will keep my eyes out for wind, any other tips?

Hope all of you will have a great Thanksgiving....

Rich,
I hope you brought your surfboard. My brother lives down there and says it's been nice swell all week, but it's not usually windy there in Nov. It's been blowing higher up on the coast, though. Maybe stop in Jalama on your way back.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

I will be bringing the Boogie Board but won't have the time to hit Jalama.
When I lived in LA I went to Jalama all the time and learned to windsurf in the waves there. Gets knarly grrrrrrrr..... with huge waves and light wind...

I guess I will just have to hope for a storm to bring wind...

No problem though , we get to go to Lego Land yaaaHoooo

forecast through this Sunday is 10knots. Today we had about 45 minutes gusting up to about 16.5:-) I weigh 130 and was on a 12m C-kite. Hope you have a big board....
