The 7th event of the PKRA World Cup in the Iles de la Madeleine - Rendez-vous Aventure 2006

MONTREAL, Aug. 26 /CNW Telbec/ - The 25 best kitesurfers in the World are
in the Ile de la Madeleine for the 7th event of the PKRA (Professional
Kiteboard Riders Association) World Cup. The competitions started today with
the first round of individual freestyle. Four Canadians, Jasmin Bousquet (Iles
de la Madeleine), Yannick Sumarah (Iles de la Madeleine), William Acosta and
Sam Medysky (Ontario) were eliminated during the simple elimination. They
still have a chance to make it to the finale in the double elimination to be
held in the next days. DaphnÈe LalibertÈ (Quebec) lost her first heat and will
also take part in the double elimination.
Freestyle competitions and races will continue up until tonight. Results,
pictures and high resolution videos will be available on our website tomorrow
