I have to say that the user manual for the slingshot link really kicks a$$. I applaud them for taking the time to create something really comprehensive and detailed. There is a ton of good information in there.
Most manuals are a clear afterthought. The pictures are shitty, the directions are lame, and information is sparse. Companies don't make any money on manuals, that's for sure. But in this sport, any advice and step by step instructions is welcomed - and REQUIRED. These kites are breaking new ground every day, and for the buyer, you are basically a test pilot for the first few sessions.
I am seriously considering buying the link just because of the manual. If they put that much effort into creating it, I would assume the kite got the same level of attention. It is worth the price to me for sure.
Hats off to slingshot. Not sure about the other manufactures - I had a Caution kite, and the instruction manual was seriously lacking. I have other slingshot kites and those manuals were better, but the link manual definately has raised the bar. Being able to easily find it on line is a huge bonus as well.
