Put kitesurfing on the map

Post by spork » Sat Nov 26, 2005 11:05 pm

There's a pretty cool new website out there. Someone just posted it in a radio-controlled helicopter forum. It lets you put a sort of push-pin on a map so people of common interest can find one another. In just the past few days the heli one has taken off. There's one for kitesurfing as well. I'm only the 2nd member - but as far as I can tell there's no downside to joining. Give it a try:

There is a North America map, but it doesn't come up centered on North America. If you press your left mouse button you can drag the map anywhere you want. Then zoom in right down to your street level if you like. You can also see it as a map, a satellite picture, or a combination.

Perhaps I'll see if I can get the administrator to have it come up showing North America and Europe.
