Kite links ...

Post by go4kitesurfing » Fri May 09, 2008 5:03 pm

My friends (and all kinds of random people I meet) tend to ask for kite related links this time of the year so I started on a list for them. I'm not a guru neither on kiting nor on on-line kite resources so feel free to vote (up/down), comment and/or add your own favorites. If you want to post more then once, grab the bookmarklet from the submit page.

Have fun:

Please don't spam (I'll delete it anyway).

Thanks!

Thanks. It's there already (but the title, from the home page where I grabbed the link, is San Francisco Bay Area Kiteboarding). Added it as a permanent link at the upper right too.

Here's a whole bunch I collected when learning, etc.

There is a kitepics and kitevideo category on there too, so check that as well.

This is probably the best one (it's kinda dated, but is still useful):

Thanks again. Keep them coming.

Jono: instead of adding all your links one by one I linked to your tags on del.icio.us.

www.thekiteboarder.com for 19 full magazines in online PDF format (portable!, don't need to be online to read content but obviously do need to be online for interactive usage) with links to kite reviews, more info from brands, consumer reviews from forums, audio clips from riders/photographers for the story behind the story, podcast links to designer/pro rider/industry personality interviews, step by step instructional with video/audio and more.

Especially good for newbies is our Instructional issue which we do in June of every year. Currently only 2007 guide is uploaded as the print magazine was just released. All online mags are posted approx 4-6 weeks after the print mags first start hitting shops and subscribers so they get the fresh content first, hot off the press.

Thanks. It's awesome that The Kiteboarder allows downloads of back issues. You'd think more magazines would get it ...

Btw, good job on the last beginners section. I've shown it to a few "eager to learn" friends already ...
