Oh Yes!
What a sweet afternoon frolic on a North Vegas.
This weekend however is a good time to work on the short game...

Yesterday was fun but spikey... Powered on 10m... Underpowered ... Land Kite... Chill out... Lauch Kite... Lit... then powered... then underpowered again....

Yesterday wasn't ideal for speed runs... Didn't get quite shallow enough to make a glassy surface... Did try a few with my GPS mounted on my bar... (sweet setup... has a little map with bread crumbs, speed, and distance information... right on the top of the chicken loop...)

Two fastest runs yesterday registered 31.5 and 33.3 knots... but when I got up to speed... it got really bumpy... crashed several times at speed... Need that smooth butter to go fast... Yesterday did not feel nearly as fast as last week....

Andy,

Do me a a favor... Do a speed run on your car. Steady speed. 20mph, 30mph, 40mph. Record all this on your GPS.

Post the results. If they are accurate, you are now baptized as the new Schumacher of kiting.

With all the speed-chat here, we also need to concede that sudden bursts (which I guess is what you're measuring with the GPS?) are not really comparable to the sanctioned speed-trials (which require sustained speeds over a measured course.) Unless I'm just the local slow guy who is naive about the riders at Alameda...
Go bigga'
