ikite shows it blowing 13 in Alameda this morning. haven't seen that in a while. will it last all day?

It's blowing right now, looking out the window, lots of whitecaps and one windsurfer cruising up to Hs. Lordships.

I don't know how long it will last...

Blew for an hour, then switched off. Saw a couple of kiters. One was on a ram.

It's even blowing at Sherman. The graphs look pretty jagged, though. Is the reason you guys do storm kiting at Alameda because it's more protected? Less insane if the wind gets really gusty?

I just looked at the graph for Berkeley. I bet Charlie and Ollie are having a blast on their 12s. Pretty steady wind for November!

we did alameda on 12mrapture
and 12mrapture2 ,
and we both rode his 12m type wave *dam sick kite* fast turn n kite i mean very fast turn n kite!,
and yes a BlAsT was had by all, started at 11.45 went till 4.30
the new rapture2 boosted well in med wind today and that light bar perssur takes some getting use too ,but is very nice on my old body

and heads up after thay downgraded the forcast , thay put s.c.a.back up !

alameda is open to the south,and east ,also the west.
we sail here couze its open.
wind come n from the south east (strom derection) we get less bounce in the wind, i feel.

Storm kiting at Alameda is great. Spring kiting is best, winter storm kiting comes in second. The wind can be harsh and gusty, but sometimes it's just plenty strong. I'll take any chance to ride small kites there for the most part.
