Maybe Google or Apple should add stops at Third on their routes? ;-)

Re: Bay Area Kite car pooling
If I were you I would get a bike and a side-ride surfboard rack. I saw kiters using those in Maui.
You're 7 miles from Crissy and OB; 3rd is feasible too once you get your leg conditioning.
We typically make the day a trifecta whenever we can: a two hour mountain bike ride in the morning, kiting mid-day, and an evening hike or disc golf. Cycle the commute to the beach and you've only got to come up with one more thing for your own trifecta.

I also live in Bernal Heights (Florida st.), just moved here from europe. I rented a zip car for myself this saturday and felt it was quite a waste since i could have provided transport for at least 2 more kiters. I am up for carpooling as well!

Maybe the easiest way to coordinate this is to create a mailinglist or something people can sign up for and drop a mail on if they plan going anywhere?

Re: Bay Area Kite car pooling
hey guys, I think this is a really great idea. One of my plans for BAK is to ad some type of simple ride-sharing functionality, because I'm a huge fan of carpooling myself:) For now, I've created a category in Classifies for "carpooling." If you want to advertise a trip, just create a new ad and put it in the "From SF" section. If you'd like me to add another "from" location (east bay, peninsula, etc) let me know. This will allow people to PM/email you if they are interested in joining your carpool. Feel free to share any thoughts or ideas!

Anybody up for giving me a ride to Alameda today from the Mission around 2pm? With this Epic weather it would beyond amazing to catch a great Kite session.

Re: Bay Area Kite car pooling
Anyone interested in a carpool from SF to a coast location (Waddell, Dillon, Stinson) on Saturday? I can drive or would be happy to pay for gas and bring beer.
PM me!
