Kiter relocating from Chicago for work in October. Working in Walnut Creek mostly but also San Ramon. Looking for a recommendation on an area to apartment search?

What is your preferred kiting terrain? If it's flatwater/river swell, you'd be a tad closer to Sherman Island in the Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill/Lafayette corridor.

If you're into waves, San Ramon *might* be a little closer to the coast...

Either way, welcome to the Bay Area!

Benicia is probably the closest spot to the water for you if Walnut Creek or San Ramon is your final destination.... Mixed conditions flat water to river swell.

Super stoked to be finally moving to Walnut Creek! Thanks for the advice on where to live, I look forward meeting people at Sherman. I know its a long shot but if anyone has a rental unit or a good apartment complex they can recommend I am looking for advice!
