January 16, 2014

5:30-7:30 pm

Audience: Adults, High School Students, Public, Families, Seniors, Educators

Location: San Francisco, Crissy Field

Event Type: History, Class/Workshop, Volunteer

Thirteen years after the restoration of this beloved shoreline park, the National Park Service, Parks Conservancy, and Presidio Trust are reassessing how visitors use Crissy Field, reviewing natural and cultural restoration goals, and taking stock of any maintenance needs.

Come to the Crissy Field Center at East Beach for a public workshop where you can share your thoughts and ideas.

Please RSVP to cyeh@parksconservancy.org by January 10, 2014.

Call (415) 561-3054 if you have further questions.

The SFBA would like a strong turnout of sailors to show there interest as a user group in the Park.

we can bitch and moan all we want but sports basement is relocating.

what ever happened to that get-together to replant the grass? I would mention on that meeting to not allow people (mainly us kiters) to park there anymore. I prefer having it as riggin area and park all around like the windsurfers do. Its just nice to have grass there regardless rather than a pack of dirt. my 0.02.

The volunteer replanting of the grass is going forward, details are being worked on,waiting for the date to be announced, you could mention about no parking on the lawn at this meeting today. The long range plane is for money to put in pavers were the grass is not compacted. the grass grows between the pavers.

I will put out the word as soon as I get the call for the replant.

It is important that we voice out concern about paid parking with a time limit restriction.

Parks For The People:

we need to not come off as entitled and ungrateful.
It is important to be polite and appreciative when talking to the park service and other user groups.

If you do attend, please remember that you're representing us as a community and try and be respectful and constructive with commentary. Thank you!

Thank you all that attended the NPS meeting it went perfectly.

I know it was a school/work night so if you could not make it, do not worry we were well represented.
