I was looking at some reviews of the North Nugget. Has anyone ridden it and can comment on it?
What other boards would be similar?
A little about me:
This is my first season Kiting and I have 9m, 12m, 14m North Evos. My only board right now is a 137 TT. I"m 6'1" and about 220lbs. I'm looking for a surf style board that will be good for light wind and fun in the bay. This will allow me to learn jybing etc.
From the reviews it looks like the Nugget would fit my requirements.
Thanks for the help!

Works well for larger riders, I rode it for about an hour, strapless at the Delta and it would be easy to learn on. It would then become your low-wind solution too.

Re: North Nugget or ?
I rode a 5'6" North Whip today. It was my first experience with a surfboard. I thought it was a lot of fun, but needed to be bigger or I needed a bigger kite today at 3rd. Common problem this time of year I know.
The Space Pickle looks pretty much just like the Nugget. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: North Nugget or ?
I've had a Nugget for 2+ years and I *love* it. I ride only surfboards and the Nugget is a killer adjunct to my usual 5'11" / 6'0". The Nugget is awesome for lighter wind, smaller waves, and also flood-tide conditions (e.g. at Crissy). I've ridden it at Crissy, OB, Stinson, Waddell, Baja, and in Hawaii. Good travel board too because it's only 5' long. It's an unusual shape and takes a tiny bit of getting used to but it RIPS. Goes upwind like crazy and will turn if you stomp on the tail. Fast and fun. I ride mine strapless. Ollies well too. I did have some delam problems with the bamboo, but have repaired and continue to ride. Mine is either 2011 or 2012 model, so North has probably fixed those issues by now anyhow.
Another alternative (that I have not ridden) is the Axon WTF:

BTW, it looks like the 2014 Nugget is a bit different shape then previous years. Good thread here:

Rowboat - thanks for the heads up there.
I couldn't really find the Axon WTF anywhere. Pretty much sold out. The Nugget is expensive. To me the best bet is the Space Pickle WVX. I contacted a Firewire dealer and it was 12 weeks to custom order a Baked Potato or Sweet Potato.
The new Nugget is basically a Firewire Baked Potato
For those interested there are some good reads here:

this was prior to the WVX being announced

Just thought I would list some info in case someone is looking for it as well.
