Oldtime windsurfer,
Current Longtime surfer and snowboarder,
Current begginer kiter, skater and SUP'er
Having an incredible blast with the last three,
Magically inmune to surf and snow's fickle nature, thank god..

Re: Watersports - Which ones are yours?
Kitesurf is the main one, try to do it 2/4 times a week during the season.
Just picked up surfing.
SUP every now and then.
Indoor rock climbing once a week. Twice during the no wind season. Might change this year since I picked up surfing.
Been snowboarding for 20 years but kind of gave it up when I started kitesurfing.

Re: Watersports - Which ones are yours?
surfed since before time, 1st love
reluctantly started windsurfing in the 80's so I wouldn't hate the wind half of the year
grew to greatly enjoy it but always backseat to surfing
started kiting and found it's not so backseat and not as far removed from surfing, pure blend
reluctantly started SUPing and found it's a great water fix and workout when there's no wind or the waves are small......still blending with the surfing but nice to walk on the water, fun distance, strength and endurance training which crosses over to surfing and kiting too
did whitewater kayaking for a few years but river hydraulics give me the willies, i'll take double overhead waves over class iv any day
snowboarding almost forever, great family thing especially when your kids get as good as you......but don't tell them I said that as I've never admitted it

Kite and surf mostly, SUP on occasions and windsurf when I visit my Dad. Kai Lenny is the man (well young man) for me as he excels at all disciplines.

Re: Watersports - Which ones are yours?
Trying to keep my gear overhead as low as possible....my sports are:
Surf - as often as possible, pure, amazing way to play with mother nature
Kite - in the ocean/waves/swell...I need 3-d to keep it fun for me...used to be into the freestyle thang....pushed a little too hard for my age/skill combination and paid some stiff dues
Mt. Bike when the surf is flat
BC skiing - another form of water sports....(used to snowboard/ski a lot in resorts)
Get sum, Z

Re: Watersports - Which ones are yours?
Windsurfing was my first wind/water obsession. Learned to read conditions, interpret forecasts, buy & repair gear (including the vehicle to haul all the boards, masts and sails), and most importantly how to juggle (and shirk) responsibilities to get water time.
Surfing & SUP gets me through winter w/o getting too dried out
Sailing nice friends & family activity but no adrenaline rush
Kiting gets me the most stoked out of all. Such an awesome sport!

Re: Watersports - Which ones are yours?
Kind of interesting to pose question this way:
What order did you pick up water/board sports? What's your number fav??
1. Surfing since 7yrs old
2. Snowboard from 15yrs old
3. Kite from 28 and on
4. SUP now in flat water spots before wind picks up.
Number one love maybe transitioning from surfing to kitesurfing now that I'm in waves. Hard for me to believe.
