Anybody heading out?

Think I might go to check out the Toll Plaza.

One kite is up at Berkeley and a few are up at TP. I'll probably head out there pretty soon too.

Toll Plaza was nice for a while. Then it died down, so I decided to call it quits. As I was about to leave, it picked up again. !$*(

There were still some students there from KGB and new people arriving. Hope everyone had some fun!

Are break-ins still as common at TP as they used to be?

I was thinking about that on the drive over. I haven't heard of any break-ins this year, but I haven't been out much the past couple of months. I'll bet Royce or someone else from the KGB school would have a better idea about that.

I rode 30+ sessions this Spring at Toll Plaza and did not hear, see, or experience any break ins. That said, I wouldn't leave valuables around inside your car at any kite spot. I try to bring only what I need and lock my wallet and phone in the glove box.
Rock and roll!!!

I think the glove box would be the first place a they would look into and if they already broke into your car the glovebox lock isn't exactly high security. A lot of people who i know that had their car broken into the crooks went thru the glove box.
Stuffing it in a hidden crack between the seats, under a floor mat covered in trash, or in another obscure place would be safer. Just my opinion

wanna hide $20k in cash or gold at your house? throw it in a dirty sock behind the dryer... don't keep it in a "safe" in your MBR closet. :)

The Toll Plaza was awesome today. Had an okay session on my 9m, then it died down, then I went out again when it picked up and I was lit. Big jumps without hardly trying.
