I have used both of these kits and had outstanding results.
I blew out one of my fins jumping on my directional and the fin and the fin plug came out. I was able to affect a repair and its as strong as if it never happened.
Kitefix is ridiculously effective. I just crashed a kite, tore the canopy fabric and punctured the leading edge. The repairs took about an hour from start to finish, about $5 in materials, and the kite is ready to use in 24 hours.

Re: 2 Excellent Equipment Repair Kits
http://phixdoctor.net/products-page/ I highly recommend the sunpowered kits for board repair. The resin doesn't really smell bad at all, and it dries up pretty quick in the direct sun light. Plus, you can move it from the shade into the sun once everything is setup for curing. On a PU board like Caution Tresspass, you just need to polish off the repair and spray it a bit with acrylic spray ( I got one at an auto shop). This gives the area the same wet clear finish as the rest of the board. I haven't figured out how to apply the resin so that it doesn't need sanding. Even if I wet sand with 600 grit sand paper, the area is still a bit more milky than the rest of the board. But the hack with the acrylic spray does the job nicely.
