Re: Where to get foil boards?I've already got access to a 3d printer but I'm more interested in having foil cores routed on a 3d router out of either bamboo plywood or balsa. Then do an s-glass/epoxy wrap. Gotta make sure it all floats though cause if you hit bottom you dont want the part that breaks off to sink.
Re: Where to get foil boards?Glad you got one Mike. I have some MHL's coming. Right now, I only have a demo. They are tricky to get the hang of and that's why having boat support helps take away concern for not being able to come back to where you started. It's best to just get pulled behind a a boat in flat water to get acquainted with the foil. It's kind of like being a beginner, which is a great place to re-visit!
I'll let ya'll know when the new batch arrives...

ABS is one of them that might work. Chris

Re: Where to get foil boards?I have a 3d printer, but printing a foil in 5" cubes seems a little tedious. Better off to chop up some foam blocks and cover them in carbon! Or do like some guys on youtube and make one out of ply.....

Re: Where to get foil boards?I tried riding the demo Lift foil board today, I don't think I have ever sucked this bad at anything in my life before. Maybe, it's worth getting a lesson from Kite The Bay, I will try again tomorrow.
