Problem is you can see the mount so it looks cheesy, back to the drawing board.

It is just a matter of adjustment, if it bother you. Most people don't care
Also very easy to crop the image / video where you want as long as you see yourself

Here is an alternative made from RAM Mounts and having an aluminum and rubber coated ball and joint. Built by VuVantage.com based out of Alaska. The fame and pole system that fits inside hydration packs like camelbak has been around for 9 months. Just launched a Kickstarter for a custom fit neoprene hydration pack. Please check it out

totally agree, and I'd hate to hit a tree with it or land on my back, other then in water.

This will be my last comment in this post:

Wizmount was founded by kiters and tested in kitesurfing (by Pro guys) for over a year in almost any sea & wind conditions, freestyle, waves - you name it. Zero injuries nor any other issue.
Then Vuvantage comes, probably never seen kitesurfers in his life, and comments on every post that we have.
Check both websites and decide for yourself. See how many videos and pictures we have in kitesurfing and how many he has (zero).

Check some of Wizmount footage in kitesurfing:
Waves: http://www.wizmount.com/gallery/kitesurfing-waves/
Freestyle (TT): http://www.wizmount.com/gallery/kitesurfing-freestyle/

Good wind - that is the most important!
