Staying in Beverley Beach State Park OR. this June 28 - July 6 and looking for information about kiting in that area. Anyone familiar with kiting near Newport? Anyone interested in kiting in Newport this summer? Any web links you could suggest? Any locals someone knows and could put me in contact with? ikite is pretty lean on information on South Beach but I am aware that there are many other good spots close by. Any info, links, contacts etc. are appreciated. :ugeek:

The local crew kites at the south jetty in newport. Flatish water near jetty and waves increasing in size as you move south.
Also ask your question on NWKite. The locals will be able to hook you up.

Waldport, south of Newport is awesome, the inlet makes for great kiting, shallow water in many areas too... Very blue water and massive beaches in Oregon... =-
