Ben - I was just thinking of the same question. TP? Berkeley? Racetrack? Where is the best shot this afternoon? Mike Godsey at windalert is saying WSW today with low 20's at Berkeley marina early this afternoon but could be up and down. So I am thinking Racetrack might be a better bet.

Thoughts?

Hi Jay... I'd like to go racetrack, but last season my upwind skills were not up to it yet, I just got pushed onto the beach. If anyone else will be there I could try it... its 5min from my house. I'm not self-launching yet, and I still want to be careful.

On the other hand, TP would be fun to try, as I havent yet.

I should be at racetrack by 2:30 this afternoon. I will leave my launch tool on my bumper. Green Prius.... Just no jokes about how my green Prius is going to get pulled down the parking lot by the kite. ;-)

Was amazing at TP. Fun spot. Thanks to Ray from KGB for not letting me go out with a 12! 8m was more than sufficient.

So many theories posted on wind conditions for this spot. Bottom line is that I have ridden there more consistently than another other place in the east bay. Usually on mine 9, until it fell from grace the other day. I was there yesterday and besides a couple class from kgb there was one other guy on an 8. Rode the inside in front ikea for hours and was completely lit. Where is everybody at when this place is cranking on a regular basis, I need more people to ride with.

Everyone go over to ikitesurf and bump up this thread, they say they'll put a sensor there if we get enough requests

Done. But it kind of looks like this discussion occurred last June and quickly died out. Maybe someone needs to contact the powers that be to alert them to the renewed interest ... ?

Hey, not a problem, glad I am able to help out. This is my first season as a contract kiteboarding instructor currently teaching with Royce. I really wanted to show you how to self launch, but I was with a student at that time. I will give you more tips the next time we see each other at the beach.
