Alameda Sat 4/6 + Search & Rescue

Post by Aloha » Sat Apr 06, 2013 6:41 pm

Alameda was fun today - as I was driving away I saw search and rescue come in complete with inflatable runabout and helicopter overhead

Anybody know the details on the search & rescue squad?

Was it for the guy on the green best kite who was downwind walking in? (The water was waist deep)

I got some Picts I can post of what I caught

That kite is HUGE Phil! We were watching you blast around from the peanut gallery. Did a BBQ ever happen on Jane's 'front porch'?

Pretty impressive for sure, it's been years since we've seen kites that size, but there was a time when 14, 16, 18 and 20 kites were common...

I've helped Phil launch his 18. He just asked me to blow gently on it to create wind. Then off he goes...
