Once again, Evan at Live2Kite and Kirk Talon of ON SCENE Safety will be offering a free CPR certification course for the kite community. Basic First-Aid topics will also be covered with a focus on water and kite related injuries.
Where: LIve2Kite, 44 Industrial Way, Greenbrae, CA 94904
WHEN: 9:30am, April 27th, 2013
Bring: Your kite knife, Lunch if you don't want to buy one elsewhere.
We'd like to get representation from all local spots so there will be trained people to get things under control should an "incident" ever occur.
Class is typically over by ~3pm - you will leave with a 2 year CPR certification card. We'll also have a line knife 'test station' where you can try your kite knife(s) on REAL kite line.
If you want to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your real first and last name (so we can get working on your certification card and logistics). Note: this is for the kiter community and not for instructors or their schools. If you're interested for certs for a school or business, please contact Kirk Talon at email@example.com
In terms of getting a CPR cert, it doesn't get any better than spending a morning with a bunch of kiters, surrounded by killer gear in a kite store! Hope to see you there and thanks again to Live2kite (for hosting!) and ON SCENE/Kirk Talon (for doing the class!) Bagels and coffee sponsored by Bay Area Kiteboarding.
(you can also post here with an "I'll be there" so other folks will have a sense of who's attending)
I'll start: I'll be there!
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it that day, but if you can make it, it's worthwhile and Kirk T. has been selflessly donating his time to do this event for a while now.
Thank you Kirk(s) and Live2Kite! I'll be there.
I'll be there. Thanks for organizing.

I'll be there.
I haven't seen an email from you to sign up for this course. We need everyone to send an email with your real first and last name to firstname.lastname@example.org
(bumping this back to the top)
I will be there and a huge thanks to all the Kirk's for making this happen. Kirk from Brazil does an awesome job of making the material interesting and relevant to being out in the ocean.
A BIG shout out to you for doing this again in 2013!
